This course is the first in the series of 4 courses teaching a therapeutic approach for chronic pain care known as myoActivation.

Participants will review clinical anatomy, practice new assessment techniques, and treat different regions of the body covered through the four levels of  this course.

  • Understand the key principles underpinning myoActivation

  • Gain knowledge and skills around myoActivation safety and equipment use

  • Understand and gain skills to assess and treat using myoActivation methodology

  • Gain skills to apply myoActivation treatment for low back pain, knee pain and balance impairments

  • Emphasis has been placed on practical, hands-on skills.  Participants will be expected to practice on each other.

The scope of the Level 1 Course has been carefully structured to provide solutions for common chronic pain presentations in treatment areas with very low risk of adverse consequences.

  • Physicians & nurse practitioners who want to learn a rapid and effective treatment approach for common chronic pain presentations.   

    Participants must be licensed to deliver injections and hold liability insurance for their scope of practice. methodology

    • Treatment techniques

    WORKSHOP DAY 2

    • Assessment and treatment of: low back pain, knee pain, balance impairment

    • myoActivation and your practice

    • Review and evaluation

  • Part 1: Self Study
    Learners complete knowledge modules prior to on-site learning. Estimated time needed is 2-3 hours.

    Part 2: Hands-on Clinical Skills Building
    Two-day on-site clinical workshops, including practice and case studies.

    Maximum class size: 18 learners

    Student/Instructor Ratio: 6:1 or less

  • This portion of the course should be completed before the 2 day clinical workshop.

    The online portion covers the fundamentals of myoActivation from principles through practice, delivered via an e-Learning platform.

    Estimated time required: up to 3 hours

    In addition, participants should review myofascial anatomy of the torso and major muscles of the leg using their preferred anatomy textbook or App.
